Me and my family are back in Dallas, Texas, and the food in this bag is from one of my favorite restaurants that we tried last time we came out here. In my opinion, is it still the same? Let’s see. I got it. Let’s try it and rate it 1 to 10.
I spent a hundred and four dollars and thirty-seven cents. This food is from Hutchins Barbecue. But this time, we went to the OG location. Last time, we went to the one in Frisco. But since this is an update, this is what it looks like.
Last time, I do remember we left, and I wanted y’all to see the effect of people coming. People. I wonder how long we have to wait in this line. God is amazing. I appreciate y’all from the bottom of my heart. I always say it, and I mean it.
The customer service, my family said, is really good, and I’m really hungry, so let’s get straight to it. I’mma show you everything I got, and we gonna try it and rate it 1 to 10.
Quick side note for anybody worried about me. I’m okay. My family’s okay. I appreciate y’all.
A Texas Twinkie, one original, and one cheddar jalapeno sausage. A pound of brisket—it was dripping everywhere. I’m talking about drip, drip. And a pound of St. Louis ribs with a side of beans and dirty rice. And last but not least, two pieces of jalapeno cornbread.
A hundred dollars is a lot, but it is barbecue, and barbecue is known to be expensive. And I’m hot. I’m ready to eat. Texas be humid, bro. Even when the sun out, like, my palms sweaty.
I’m going straight to the big boy, straight to the brisket. As soon as I opened this, I knew it was up, bro. I can’t dig my fingers in. Look, I literally can’t dig my fingers into this. I’m not gassing it. I’m trying to pick a whole piece up, and it’s not happening. Haha. Okay, I’mma just get out of here.
I will say, this time, I feel like I need a sauce. It’s seasoned extremely well. It’s not dry by any stretch of the imagination. I just personally like a sauce.
Okay, I got some sauce. I’m not sure exactly what kind of sauce it is. It’s just a hot sauce. I don’t know if it’s sweet, spicy, but we about to find out. Mmm. It’s like a vinegar sauce. It’s not spicy at all, but it’s good.
With the sauce, in my opinion, it’s a 9.1 out of 10. Without the sauce, it’s an 8.9 out of 10, to me.
This the rib now. This is how it comes. It’s pre-sauced. I didn’t put anything on it, and I don’t need to. I wish it was a little more vinegar-like it was last time, but right now, this is super peppery, a little sweet. As you can see, falling off the bone. I’m barely putting pressure into these bites. It’s really good. 8.7 out of 10.
I think the location might make a difference too, cause it tastes a little different than I remember, but it’s still good in my opinion.
This is cheddar sausage. I’m not a huge fan of that. It’s a lot of cheese. Like, a lot, a lot of cheese, in my opinion. I like the flavor, and I like the snappiness of the sausage, but for me, the cheddar is a lot. It covers my whole mouth. I’m not a huge fan of that. 3 out of 10.
This original sausage. Hmm. It’s got a real smoky, woodsy kind of flavor. Again, the quality is really high. It’s really snappy. It’s really meaty. Not as meaty as the brisket, but it’s still really good, in my opinion. 8.9.
This is cheddar jalapeno cornbread. There’s real corn in there. One, it’s too hot in this car. And two, I wish it came with butter, because it is a little dry, in my opinion. As it is, 3.5 out of 10, cause the flavor is good. It’s too hot to be eating that thick of cornbread now.
This is my favorite thing from last time, and again, I think it’s hard because we changed locations. I think each location is different as far as taste, but this—I remember this being crazy. This is the main reason I came back. This is a Texas Twinkie. It’s a jalapeno wrapped in bacon with cream cheese and brisket on the inside. I see. Mmhmm.
I don’t care what location you make it at. Just call me when you make it. I don’t care where. Is that your house? His house? Her house? Your mama house? Yeah. Just invite me. This is a 9.3 out of 10. This is immaculate. I taste the smokiness from the brisket, the spice from the jalapeno. You get, like, the balance of flavors from the cream cheese. It balances out the spice from the jalapeno. It’s a bunch of pepper on the outside. This is really hot. Hell, yeah. That’s why I’m sweating up. I had the meat sweats before I even ate the meat.
I’mma be transparent as always. I’mma skip the sides, cause not only is it hot in this car, I got people waiting for their food back home, so I better hurry up.
