Fatman Hot Dogs & More reviewed by restaurant food influencer

Keith Lee visited a food truck called Fatman Hot Dogs & More in Miami that serves hot dogs and sausages. The owner, who rents the truck month-to-month, feeds the less fortunate and gives away free ICIEs to customers because of the heat. Keith wanted to find out why the truck wasn’t busier, considering its generous mission and good food. He tried three items and shared his honest thoughts.

  • Mac Daddy (hot dog with mac and cheese, onion strings, and French fries): Keith found it flavorful, well-seasoned, and a bit spicy. He noted that the hot dog itself was of high quality but warned that it was close to being too salty. He liked it but said it might cause heartburn if eaten in full. Rating: 8/10.

  • Chicken Bacon Ranch: This one had a lot of toppings, including grilled chicken, bacon, and ranch. Keith appreciated the quality and balance of flavors, calling it better than the Mac Daddy. Rating: 8.2/10.

  • Fat Man Philly Sausage: Featuring shaved steak, sauce, peppers, and fries, this sausage was spicier than the others and similarly close to being too salty. Keith was impressed with the flavor, but found it challenging to rate. Rating: 8.1/10.

Keith was impressed with the food quality and the owner’s generosity, believing that with food this good, the truck should be more popular.

Me and my family were riding around Miami, Florida, when we got this DM. You can pause to read it if you would like to. It’s a long DM. Basically, he said he has the best hot dogs and sausages in Miami, and he feeds the less fortunate and kids at the school for absolutely free. He rents his food truck month to month because he can’t afford to buy it yet. But when we pulled up, it was completely empty. Nobody else was there but us, and I personally want to know why. Is it the food? Is it the customer service? Or is it the marketing? In my opinion at least, let’s find out.

I got it, let’s try it and rate it 1 to 10. We spent $49.50. My family said the customer service was really good. He was giving free ICIEs away to the people that were standing in line because it was hot outside. When we pulled up, it was only us. A couple of people came in behind us, and again, he gave out free ICIEs. He said he gives food to the less fortunate and to kids, and just off that, I believe it.

I’m going to show you everything I got, and we’ll rate it 1 to 10. I got the Mac Daddy, the Chicken Bacon Ranch, and last but not least, the Fat Man Philly Sausage. He also gave us a free ICIE, but it completely melted. We only had it for five minutes. It’s hot out here—real hot. It’s been raining today too, so it’s real humid, wet, and hot.

We’re going to start with the Mac Daddy. I checked his website, and it says it’s a hot dog topped with mac and cheese, but I also see some other things, and I’m not sure what they are. It looks like French fries or maybe some little chip things? Yeah, they’re like those mini French fries. No, wait, those are onion strings! It’s a big hot dog, probably a footlong. All of the hot dogs are $15, and for that price, you get your money’s worth.

Now, this is probably the best hot dog in Miami. I’ve only had one bite, and I haven’t had many hot dogs here yet, but I think this one will be hard to beat. It’s real snappy, well-seasoned, though almost too seasoned—maybe just a pinch or two away from being too salty. The mac and cheese is really good too. I’m a picky mac and cheese eater, but this one is cheesy, seasoned, and has a little spice. I’d give this 8 out of 10. Though, I’m not sure I could eat the whole thing. It might give you heartburn after a while.

Next is the Chicken Bacon Ranch. You can see where it’s about to break because of how many toppings are on it. It’s topped with grilled chicken, bacon, ranch, bell peppers, onions, and those same French fries. There’s a lot going on here. This one is dancing, and it’s really good because the ingredients are high quality. The flavors complement each other, and you can tell he put thought into balancing them. It’s better than the first one for me. 8.2 out of 10.

Last but not least, we have the Philly Sausage. I think this is shaved steak with a sauce and some peppers, plus the same fries. The sausage tastes similar to the hot dog, but this one’s spicier. Again, it’s on the edge of being too salty. I’m stuck between an 8 and an 8.2 out of 10, so let’s settle at 8.1 out of 10.

For a hot dog, that’s really high. When you think of a hot dog, you expect a 6 or 7, but for it to be in the 8’s? That’s impressive. And the fact that he feeds the community and isn’t overly booming—there were only a couple of people when we got there—it makes me feel like his blessing is coming. As they say, to get a blessing, you have to be a blessing. With food this good, I don’t see why he’s not packed around the corner.

As always, I pray and hope after this, he reaches the right audience. God bless you. Have an amazing day. Y’all be safe.
