Review Highlights
Keith Lee returns to Easy Street Burgers in Los Angeles — one of the only places on his entire food tour that earned two perfect 10s on his first visit. Since that review, the response has been staggering: lines around the corner and out the door, a flood of new customers drawn by his endorsement. The question Keith needs answered: with that kind of volume, can a smashburger spot maintain perfect scores? He orders the exact same three burgers he got last time — plus fries he insists he's not going to try.
- ·Double Jalapeño Monster Burger — double patties with bacon, grilled onions, and thick-cut fresh jalapeños on a soft potato bun. The jalapeños still run a little thick and overpower the famously well-seasoned meat, but it remains one of the best burgers he's had. Score: 9 out of 10
- ·Classic Double Burger — two paper-thin smashed patties with cheese sauce and pickles. "Damn. That is fantastic, bro." So crispy and smashed that the whole burger eats like the crunchy edge piece. He nearly finishes the entire thing on the spot
- ·Bacon Cheese Grilled Onion Burger — the one. "If somebody asked me what's one meal I would eat for the rest of my life, that burger. I'm gonna be big. The back gonna be humongous. The pressure gonna be up. I'm gonna be happy." Score: 10 out of 10
- ·Fries — Keith insists he won't try them (he skipped them last time too), then tries one anyway and immediately admits: "This fry is delicious"
Keith's verdict: Easy Street Burgers holds the line. Despite the lines out the door and the flood of new customers, the quality hasn't slipped — the jalapeño monster holds at a 9, and both the classic double and bacon grilled onion burger remain perfect 10s. "I think this is the first time that I went back to a place, gave that many 10s, and it still has that many 10s." He's so moved by the experience that before leaving, he drops ,500 to cover meals for anyone who walks in and tips every employee 00 each.
About
Easy Street Burgers is a family-owned smashburger spot in Studio City, Los Angeles, that started as a modest 10x10 pop-up tent in East Hollywood in February 2020. It opened its first brick-and-mortar location on Lankershim Boulevard in 2022 and exploded in popularity after Keith Lee's viral TikTok review in October 2023, where he called it the best burger he'd ever had in LA. Known for paper-thin smashed patties with crispy, caramelized edges and soft potato buns, it has become one of the city's most sought-after burger destinations.
Known for
- · Smashed-to-the-edges double burgers
- · Double Jalapeño Monster
- · Bacon grilled onion burger
What visitors say
Easy Street Burgers draws near-universal praise from LA diners, who consistently call it the best smashburger in the city — the patties are paper-thin, crispy, and packed with flavor, with the Cajun fries earning frequent mentions as the ideal sidekick. The casual, counter-service vibe keeps the focus on the food, and many note the wait is well worth it. The only recurring gripe is the line, which can stretch long at peak hours — a small price, most regulars agree, for a burger this good.
