Amici-Chicago (Chicago) | Influencer Restaurant Review by Keith Lee
AI-Generated Summary: Keith Lee’s Amici-Chicago Restaurant Review Video
Keith Lee orders from Amici-Chicago through Doordash, spending $54. His family mentions that the customer service was great, despite the fact that the owner was the only one working, making service slower. Keith appreciates that a small business offers Doordash and is eager to try the unique rice balls (“arancinos”) from different cultures.
He tries six rice balls, each representing a different cultural cuisine:
- Birria-cino (Mexican): He praises its spicy and flavorful taste, rating it 8.7/10.
- Italian Arancino: Keith loves the meat sauce, cheese, and peas inside, describing it as a “handheld lasagna” and rates it 9/10.
- Curry-cino (Indian): Although he’s selective with curry, Keith finds it tasty and gives it 7.9/10.
- Doro Wat-cino (Ethiopian): This dish has a strong and unfamiliar flavor to Keith. He believes it’s a bit salty and not for him, so he rates it 4/10.
- Masala-cino (Indian): This one is mild in flavor, tasting mostly like chicken and rice. He rates it 6.5/10.
Overall, Keith is impressed with the concept and ingenuity of the dishes and is puzzled as to why the restaurant isn’t busier. He leaves a generous tip of $1,000 for the owner and an additional $3,000 to cover future orders.

Well, we here. I got it. Let’s try it and rate it 1 to 10.
We spent $54. The customer service, my family said, was really good, but at the same time, we didn’t see much of it because I ordered this through Doordash. I love that a small business like this uses Doordash. That’s really dope, in my opinion.
Picking the food up was super easy, but he wasn’t lying — he’s in there by himself, and it was very slow. At the moment, there was only one other person other than my family. My family said he was extremely nice and patient. He explained that during the week, he’s there by himself because it’s usually really slow.
In my opinion, is it the food, is it the customer service, or is it the marketing that makes it slow? Let’s find out.
I’mma show you everything I got, and we gonna try it and rate it 1 to 10.
Arancinos are rice balls that derive from Italy, but they put their own spin on it, so there are different cultures inside of each rice ball. We got six of them: the Arancino, which is Italian; Jerky-cino, which is jerk chicken; Curry-cino, which is Indian; Masala-cino, also Indian; Birria-cino, which is Mexican; and last but not least, Doro Wat-cino, which is African. Please excuse me if I pronounced that wrong — I feel like I butchered it. I didn’t mean to. They all come with their own sauces.
My sister made a really good point: I wish they made a flight where you could have all of the cultures in one box instead of ordering them separately. All of these are just rice balls that are fried and stuffed with different meats.
This is the birria one. Hey, y’all, he got something here. It’s just rice that’s fried with really high-quality meat inside. It’s spicy, it’s flavorful. Wait, was that cheese? Flavor-packed cheese! This is delicious, and I love the ingenuity of it. And don’t nobody know about this. 8.7 out of 10. We start real high. We start up here. I also love rice, so that’s a plus for me.
Next up is the Italian one. Inside here is meat sauce, cheese, and peas. Ha, I like this one better. Oh, my God. Hold on — is the meat chicken or beef? Beef. Just like lasagna. This is like a homemade meat pie, a handheld lasagna, and it’s goddamn delicious. This is hot. This is a 9 out of 10 in my opinion. It tastes like a home-cooked meal, like beef stew inside a fried rice ball, for sure.
Next up is the curry one. Inside here is curry chicken. Surprisingly, this is pretty good, in my opinion. I like curry chicken, but I’m very selective with my curry. It’s not super spicy — none of these have been super spicy. On a spice level, I’d give it a 2, but on flavor and overall, I give it a 7.9 out of 10. This is a really good introduction if you’re afraid of trying new cultures and cuisines.
This is the Doro Wat-cino. Again, if I said that wrong, please forgive me. It’s filled with Ethiopian berbere chicken. Again, I might have pronounced that wrong. Each sauce is different, and this sauce is real chunky. Let’s see. Hmm, hmm, hmm. I don’t know if I dislike it, but I know it’s very different. This one is the strongest to me. It covered my mouth immediately with spices, and it’s also, in my opinion, a little salty. I can’t pinpoint the flavor because I’ve never had it before, so it just tastes different to me. But if you like Ethiopian flavors and are used to these kinds of dishes, I can see this being rated very high. For me, though, I’m not the target audience — 4 out of 10.
Last but not least, this is the masala. I love this concept, I really do. This one has the least amount of flavor to me. It’s not that strong at all — it just tastes like chicken and rice. This one was a little above the middle for me. 6.5 out of 10.
Overall, not only do I truly appreciate the invite, but I don’t personally see why they’re not busier. He said he’s in there by himself and it’s super slow. I personally don’t see that being the case for long.
As always, I don’t promise, haha. Alright, take your time, take your time. So, what we wanted to do was leave $3,000 to pay for anyone who comes in to order, and then leave you $1,000 as a tip. I respect you too. I appreciate you. Thank you so much. If you can charge us, we’ll let you have a good night, I promise.
I appreciate you making that video. I can’t thank you enough. This is exactly why we do what we do — for places like this and people like you guys. I pray and hope after this, you reach your target audience. God bless you. Have an amazing day. Y’all be safe.
