Easy Street Burgers reviewed by restaurant food influencer

Keith Lee revisits Easy Street Burgers, a restaurant in LA that had previously earned two perfect scores from him. He decides to see if the quality remains the same, given the restaurant’s newfound popularity.

He orders the same items as last time:

  • A double jalapeño monster burger (which he rates a 9/10, noting that the jalapeños are still a bit thick and overpowering but the meat remains perfectly seasoned and crispy).
  • A double burger with bacon and grilled onions, which Keith absolutely loves for its crispy texture and well-seasoned meat. He says if he could only eat one meal for the rest of his life, it would be this burger.
  • A classic double burger, which he enjoys equally as much.
  • I think this is the first time that I went back to a place, gave that many 10s, and it still has that many 10s.

Keith is impressed by the consistency of quality despite the restaurant’s increased business. He and his family are also grateful for the support from fans, and before leaving, they tip the staff $2,500 for future customers and $200 to each worker. Keith emphasizes how amazing the experience was, and at the end, he concludes that the restaurant still deserves its perfect ratings.

Me and my family are in LA, and we are back at one of the only places that has gotten two tens from me. Are they still tens? Let’s find out.

I got it. Let’s try it. Rate it 1 to 10.

I got the exact same thing that I got last time. Since the last time we’ve been here, it’s been crazy. God is amazing. Y’all showed up and showed out. And when I say that, I mean it—like nuts. Lining around the corner, out the door. So I really wanna find out, in my opinion, is this still a 10? Cause it’s so many people coming, and I really wanna make sure it’s still, in my opinion, at that level. Let’s find out.

I’mma show you everything I got, and we gonna try it and rate it 1 to 10.

A double jalapeño monster burger.
A double burger with bacon and grilled onions.
And a classic double burger.

What do they call the fries? I don’t know. I’m not gonna try the fries. I’m not gonna try the fries. Last time. Gotcha.

You got the feeling? A little. Yeah, a little rice. The jalapeño—last time, I think I gave this a 9, if I’m not mistaken.

Same way you left it. It’s spicier this time. Oh, it is spicier. Damn. Real spicy. This potato bun is so soft. The meat is crispy and seasoned perfectly. In my opinion, these jalapeños are crisp, fresh, spicy a little. That’s a fresh, thick-cut jalapeño. My eyes getting a little watery.

Wasn’t that your take-back from the last time—that the jalapeños were too thick?

The jalapeños are still a little too thick and a little overpowered, in my opinion, because that’s the main thing I taste. This meat, like I said the last time, is way too seasoned for the jalapeño to be the main thing I taste, in my opinion.

If I didn’t rate that a 9 last time, which I think I did—9 out of 10. Still one of the best burgers. I ain’t gonna front.

Let me not get ahead of myself. Let me try the others first before I get ahead of myself.

Double, double cheese sauce, two patties, and pickles. This meat is crazy. That’s two patties. I know it’s hard to see, but it’s cause they so thin. This is one patty. Uh huh. Goddamn. Damn. That is fantastic, bro.

Might as well. Might as well. For real. It’s so crispy and smashed and seasoned. It’s like if you’re the person that likes the crunchy part of the burger, the whole burger is like that. Boy, I eat this whole thing.

You are about to eat the whole thing. I know. I’ll eat the whole thing right now.

I’m not trying the fries cause last time I didn’t try the fries. But I will say, in my opinion… okay, I’m gonna try the fry anyway. He’s not even trying to. I’ve already tried it. This fry is delicious. And not like I’m trying to try to season ones before. Did you? You did it before? Okay. Crazy.

This is the bacon cheese, grilled onion burger. I’m not exaggerating. If somebody asked me what’s one meal I would eat for the rest of my life—that burger. I’mma be big. The back gonna be humongous. Ha ha ha. The pressure gonna be up. It’s gonna be a little hot. I’m gonna be happy. I’m very happy. Satisfied. For show you right off. For show you right off.

I’m drooling. Ha ha ha. Tim, Tim, Tim. Yo, let’s show Tim. Yeah, yeah. Not eating the onions off the console. You eating the top—the drippings of the car.

For them to be able to keep the same quality with the line out the door like that and new customers and new influx—I’m impressed. I think “impressed” is an understatement.

I’m just thankful to be here. We went in and had a conversation with the owner before we left, and we left $2,500 for anybody to come get food. We also tipped everybody that was working that day $200 a piece. God is amazing.

And I pray and I hope after this, they continue to research their target audience. God bless you. Have an amazing day. Y’all be safe.

I think this is the first time that I went back to a place, gave that many 10s, and it still has that many 10s.

“Family Owned & Operated. Easy Street started as a small 10×10 pop-up tent operation in a parking lot in East Hollywood in February of 2020. Originally, it was formed as a passion project to focus on creating and serving our version of a smash burger in Los Angeles.
